rooted in connection

MORE THAN JUST HOW IT LOOKED

I chase feelings so your photos can hold onto them

I am drawn to the moments people often overlook, the nervous laughter, the movement, the tenderness, the way someone reaches for another person without even thinking about it. The moments that feel real.

My work is rooted in honest connection and emotional storytelling. I want the people I photograph to feel fully present instead of worrying about performing for the camera.

Because years from now, I don’t just want you to see your photos. I want you to feel them all over again.

The Heart Behind My WOrk

Photography became more than photos for me, it became a way to preserve feeling, memory, and connection.

Working in nursing changed the way I see people.

It taught me how deeply human life really is, how quickly moments pass, how important connection becomes, and how much meaning lives inside the small things we often overlook.

I think that’s why I’m so drawn to photography that feels honest instead of perfect.

I’m not chasing flawless images. I’m chasing emotion, atmosphere, movement, tenderness, and the moments that feel real when you look back on them years later.

More than anything, I want the people I photograph to feel seen, comfortable, and fully themselves.

Because someday these photos become part of your story.
Your history.
Your legacy.

The Philosophy

Honest Connection

I am drawn to the moments that unfold naturally, the quiet glances, movement, laughter, and emotion that can’t be forced.

The best photos usually happen in between the poses anyway.

Gentle guidance

I’ll guide you when needed, but never in a way that feels stiff or overly posed.

Think more:
“walk together and laugh at each other”
Less:
“what do I do with my hands?”

Story over perfection

I care way more about genuine feeling than perfect perfection.

Also… if I randomly hype you up, fix your hair every 3 seconds, or say “super cute” 14 times during your session… just know that’s part of the experience now.

This is probably where i overshare a little

Somewhere between storytelling, motherhood, nursing, and documenting people… photography became more than just photos to me.

I’ve always been someone who notices the little things, the energy in a room, the quiet moments between people, the emotions that usually go unspoken.

Working in nursing deepened that even more. It taught me how quickly moments pass, how meaningful human connection really is, and how important it is to preserve the people and memories we love while we can.

I think that’s why photography became so personal to me. Not because of perfect images, but because of what they hold onto.

The way someone looked at you when you weren’t paying attention. The laugh your kids make right before chaos breaks out. The feeling of being fully seen, loved, and present in a moment you’ll never get back again.

That’s the kind of feeling I’m always chasing with my work.

That being said… I promise I’m not going to make your time with me feel overly serious or emotionally intense the entire time.

Most times with me involve a mix of movement, laughing through the awkwardness for the first five minutes, me getting overly excited about good lighting, and at least one moment where I dramatically say: “Wait wait wait, don’t move. That was super cute.”

There’s also a very real chance I’ll cry during your first look or vows… then celebrate with you on the dance floor five minutes later like we’ve been friends for years.

I’ll guide you when needed, but I also want you to feel like yourself, comfortable enough to relax, be present, and actually enjoy the experience.

And if I end up emotionally invested in your love story by the end of it… honestly, that’s pretty normal around here.
